If you want to file a complaint regarding a UPI payment to another person, you can follow these steps:-
1) Contact the recipient: Before filing a complaint, it is advisable to first contact the recipient and try to resolve the issue amicably. If the matter is resolved, then you don’t need to file a complaint.
2) Contact your bank: If you are unable to resolve the issue with the recipient, you should contact your bank’s customer care or visit the nearest branch. They will guide you on the next steps to take and provide you with the necessary information to file a complaint.
3) File a complaint with the UPI app: You can also file a complaint with the UPI app through which the payment was made. Most UPI apps have a dedicated customer support section where you can submit your complaint.
4) File a complaint with the banking ombudsman: If your bank does not provide a satisfactory resolution to your complaint, you can file a complaint with the banking ombudsman. You can find more information about the banking ombudsman and the complaint filing process on the Reserve Bank of India’s website.
When filing a complaint, be sure to provide all the necessary details such as the UPI transaction ID, date and time of the transaction, amount transferred, and the reason for the complaint. This will help in resolving the issue quickly.
